The Bears' Blog December 6

The Bears' Blog... We were so fortunate to have Elder Wilson come visit some classrooms this week and share his loon calls, songs, and drumming skills with us.  We look forward to his next visit with much anticipation.

On Wednesday, December 4 we had a fun day of wearing our PJ’s at school.  Our student council members have picked a different theme for each early dismissal day. Check out the Pine Street calendar for more information.

SAVE THE DATE!  Our kindergarten to grade six Christmas concert is fast approaching on December 11.  Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:00 p.m. Students must be at the venue by 6:40 p.m. at the latest!  This concert will include all students from kindergarten to grade 6 together at The Park Church.  Our raffle ticket winners will be contacted today by our School Council.

Our last track practice will be on Tuesday, December 10. Practices will resume Tuesday, January 7. We want to congratulate you on having great kids! We are enjoying working with them. They are getting stronger and faster. Thank you for partnering with us and supporting this wonderful initiative by bringing your kids to those early morning practices!

Sharing About Caring & Citizenship

  • Do you or someone you know have some extra time you would like to volunteer towards making Pine Street even better?!  We have a group of volunteers called “Helping Hands” that come in twice a month to do bulletin boards, cutting, gluing, organize workbooks, photocopy and laminate.  We would love to see you on January 13 at 1:00 p.m.
  • Thank you to Erin Wildeboer from Strathcona County who came to Pine Street to help our grade four classes learn about being environmentally friendly global citizens by creating reusable lunch wrap using beeswax!
